Listen, I thought I had Florence figured out. Climb the Duomo, stare at David’s abs, eat a sad panini while dodging selfie sticks—done, done, and so done. But then we booked a tour with Indro, and suddenly our vacation went from "tourist bingo" to "local legend status."

This man didn't guide us—he adopted us. Within ten minutes, we weren't clients; we were old buddies. He strolled us through alleyways we’d have walked right past, pointed out graffiti that told stories, and whispered secrets about tripe. Learning about tripe from Indro was like a delicious, weird, wonderful masterclass. He knows his stuff and is versed in everything tripe! It felt less like a tour and more like a really cool uncle showing off his favorite city—and we were here for it.

Booking our tour with Indro (il Fiorentino) was by far the best decision we made for our trip. He really made us feel less like tourists and more like old friends being shown around town. Florence is so full of things, but to experience it through the words of a local really made it personal, and let us feel as if we too were part of the city.
I had no idea that tripe and lampredotto were such an important part of the city, but mostly I can’t imagine someone studying tripe for over 30 years! We benefited from it because he basically knows everything about tripe worldwide. It was fun to be taught about Florence and tripe by an expert.
We learned so much on the tour about Florence and tripe but it was at such a relaxing pace that when it was finished we wanted to spend even more time together. What I appreciated about Indro was that when we did have to separate he gave us great recommendations on how to spend the rest of our trip on our own, including food and gelato recommendations. The tour includes a free book and we chose the one about insights about being Florentine and it explains so much about the city and the people.
I highly recommend this tour. It was exactly how I wanted to spend my time on my vacation. Totally enjoyable!

We had such an amazing experience on the Lampredotto Walking Tour. Indro is a treasure. He curates a unique, intimate experience with Firenze. His combination of storytelling, connection, and expertise leaves you feeling like you drew the lucky number to get the inside scoop.

We had no issues with his English, and he was diligent about finding shade. The lampredotto was so good that even the kids liked it!

Indro is so knowledgeable about tripe, lampredotto and Florence! During the walking tour, we saw the main landmarks, but we were also shown small details that only an informed local would know. I am so glad we booked this tour and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Firenze!
